About Heather
I’m a singer-songwriter, designer and illustrator currently in Los Angeles and NY! After graduating from SUNY Purchase in 2017 with a BFA in Graphic Design & Illustration, I went on to work as an Art Assistant Director + then Assistant Director at Today Media, designing for Westchester Magazine, Westchester HOME, Westchester Wedding, and 914INC. I was heavily involved in directing photoshoots, designing page layouts, and managing interns. I’ve always loved creating music and art, so while I was working at WM, I recorded demos of original songs in my home studio and cold-emailed as many people as I could find who worked in the music industry. One thing led to another, and in August 2019 I decided to give music a try full time, while keeping my love for visual art alive as well. During the height of the pandemic in 2020, I heavily focused my energy on creating my original music, and wrote a ton of songs over zoom. Today I am a full-time musician, published songwriter (I signed to @nonstopmanagement / Livelihood Music Publishing last July), and visual artist! In regards to the visual art aspect of my life, I am heavily involved in all of my album art and use procreate + my Apple Pencil to illustrate all of my covers. I also love to do freelance illustrations and design work when the time allows!
Heather at Ardsley
I absolutely loved having Mrs. Rosen as my teacher and mentor in Art Honors and NAHS. I vividly remember her sitting down with me to talk about the possibilities of creating a career in visual arts, and she’s a huge reason why I decided to study Graphic Design in college and still create art today!
